I received whiplash in 2003 from a roller coaster ride. My life has been just that since then, an up and down ride.
The whiplash had affected my eyes and nervous system. There have been days when I couldn't get out of bed, walk or write.
I didn't think my life would ever be the same again. I had become depressed and thought that my life would never be normal.
It was just the beginning of the Fall semester and my family decided to go to an amusement park. We love the outdoors
and adventure together. We hopped onto a ride that was being raved about and that was when my life changed. We were jerked
and twisted like a sack of potatoes on the back of a pickup truck. We got off the ride crying and with fear. I had felt the
jerk of the whiplash, but didn't think much of it. The next day was just the beginning of the pain, stiffness and complications,
which included bruises across my back and on top of my hand where the lapbar crossed my hands and my bathingsuit strap crossed
my back.
